Sharing Our Message with Everyone: Best Practices
- Clear Communication: Use plain language and avoid jargon. Keep your sentences concise and easy to follow.
- Hashtags: Make hashtags readable by using camel case (e.g., #SocialMediaWins). This helps screen readers announce them clearly.
- Limit Emojis: Emojis can be fun, but use them sparingly and place them at the end of sentences. Avoid relying on them to convey meaning.
- Add Image Descriptions: Describe all images using clear and concise alt text. Briefly explain the image content and its connection to the post.
- Use Captions: Add captions to videos and live streams. Consider offering downloadable transcripts for longer videos.
- Color Contrast: Ensure good color contrast between text and background for better readability.
