Tenure-Track Faculty Position, Health Promotion for Persons with Disabilities, University of Illinois at Chicago

The Departments of Disability and Human Development, Movement Sciences, and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago are conducting a joint search and are seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position (rank open) available for Academic Year 2005-06. The candidate should be able to develop and sustain an independent research program relevant to promoting health among persons with disabilities through improved exercise and nutrition, as well as participate in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Project Director/Coordinator, Obesity and the Built Environment for Persons with Disabilities

Coordinate an intervention to alter the built environment and to develop a health empowerment zone for people with disabilities through an anticipated new NIH grant starting October, 2005. The project director will be responsible for training, recruitment, and dissemination of all center activities. He/she will oversee the day-to-day operations, such as organizing data entry, coordinating training sessions, contacting targeted facilities, and supervising project staff.

Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC) Assistant or Associate Professor

Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon is searching for a Research Scientist to participate in the research of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center: Health and Wellness for People with Long-Term Disabilities (RRTC). The RRTC is funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) to conduct research and training to support the health and wellness of persons with long-term disabilities.
