NCHPAD Book Review: Multiple Sclerosis - A Self-Care Guide to Wellness

Multiple Sclerosis: A Self-Care Guide to Wellness offers new ideas on how to manage multiple sclerosis. Topics include basic information about disease management (i.e., pain management, maintaining joint flexibility, mobility, skin care, and cognitive changes); health, lifestyle, and emotional issues (i.e., exercise, nutrition, stress management); community-related issues (i.e., work, family life, driving and transportation, and fitness and recreation); and life planning issues (i.e., home accessibility, financial planning, personal assistance). Two chapters are devoted to physical activity and the chapter on recreation was written by Dr. James Rimmer, director of NCPAD.
