Notes

Get set to "ready about" & "Hard to lee"! Lets go sailing!

STRIDEs Sailing Program boasts a one-of- a-kind curriculum, with format provided by the "Start Sailing Right" manual of the American Red Cross and U.S. Sailing. Boats are adapted to meet the individual learning needs of each child as STRIDE athletes learn to sail rigged sloops through on the water and classroom instruction. Classes are held for approximately 8 weeks and culminate with a regatta on Saratoga Lake where students from both programs come together to compete for the STRIDE Cup-- a day filled with racing, music, barbecue, and fun for spectators and sailing racers alike!

Classes are run by Certified Sailing Instructors and are held at either the Saratoga Lake Sailing Club or New Rochelle Marina. First mates must provide their own transportation. Parents are welcome to watch from shore.
