Notes

Golf

A PGA Golf Professional will offer introductory lessons in golf. He will guide participants through putting, driving, chipping, etc. at the Roland Stafford Golf School located at the Christman's Golf Course.

Swimming

Red Cross certified instructors will assist participants learn all the major swimming strokes. Sessions will take place at the Windham Arms' pool.

Biking

This session is designed for both beginner and experienced bike riders. Bike trails are located at Hunter and Grand Gorge. Beginners may start by working on fundamental riding skills at Windham Mountain.

Fishing

An Orvis certified professional will guide participants to many of the beautiful lakes and streams in the Windham Region.

Adaptive Paddling and Windsurfing

Participants will learn the fundamentals of paddling in canoes and kayaks in lakes and ponds in the Windham Mountain area. Participants will learn the fundamentals of windsurfing and sailing in lakes and ponds in the Windham Mountain area. Both paddling and windsurfing will take place during the same sessions.

Therapeutic Horseback Riding Focus is on basic horsemanship and riding skills. Activities help develop balance, stability and truck strength. Mountain Brook Farm generally has two or three horses in a large riding ring. Students should expect to share horses with other participants.

Tennis

Participants will work with instructors to improve their stroke fundamentals. Students will work on developing or improving their forehand and backhand strokes and will learn tennis etiquette as well.

Explore the Mountain Camping Experience

This program will take place over 3 separate weekends. "Base Camp" will be located on the deck of Ski Windham's Wheelhouse Lodge (indoor facilities available). Participants will explore the mountain environment through nature walks & lessons. Parents and/or guardians are welcome!

Archery

Participants will learn to shoot a bow in the safety of a controlled environment with experienced instructors supervisoring. Participants will shoot at targets. Archery improves hand/eye coordination and is also a great way to improve arm strength.
