The ASF winter sports program is the largest in the Northeast and is the research and development center for adaptive skiing and snowboarding for the Professional Ski Instructors of America-Eastern Division (PSIA-E) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors. The ASF is an also a training center for Special Olympic Coaches and other adaptive skiing programs in the Northeast.

The ASF has seven PSIA-E Adaptive Educational Staff members on staff and over 70 of the Foundation's 120 volunteer instructors are PSIA and AASI certified. All volunteer instructors are required to attend extensive training and development sessions each year.

Speciality Programs

Adaptive Sports Foundation Race Program

The Adaptive Sports Foundation offers a season long race program for adaptive skiers interested in learning how to race and participate in competition style skiing. Individuals may sign up for the entire season or for one session at a time. The program will be supervised by instructors specifically trained in adaptive ski racing techniques. **Individuals intersted in this program MUST speak to the Director of Programs before registering.

Adaptive Sports Foundation Season Long Program

The ASF Season long Program is designed to challenge intermediate through expert skiers and riders to develop skills through games and a group format. The focus is on the experienced skier/rider being placed with students of similar skiing/riding abilities. Activities include NASTAR, bumps and various on snow sliding activities. **Individuals intersted in this program MUST speak to the Director of Programs before registering.
