Hippotherapy
Hippotherapy is physical, occupational and speech therapy performed on the back of a horse. Hippotherapy utilizes the movement of the horse to allow therapists to address functional limitations, impairments and disabilities in patients with neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction. At Equine Assisted Therapy, Inc. hippotherapy is provided by a specially trained occupational therapist. A NARHA certified therapeutic riding instructor and 1-2 trained volunteers are also involved in the session to assist the client.
