The author, Gary Paruszkiewicz, has a B.A. in psychology and is a Certified Stress Management Educator. He was a celebrated gourmet chef diagnosed with MS in 1990 and by 1994 was using a wheelchair and taking large doses of both Valium(r) and Ibuprofen daily. Through stress management and the ancient Chinese techniques of Tai Chi and Qi Gong, Gary has risen above MS and now teaches wellness programs, stress management workshops, and Tai Chi classes almost every day.
