Water Exercise Videos


  • Ai Chi - Flowing Aquatic Energy Videotape - The Ai Chi video reviews each progression, with information and hints on getting the most out of the program. Ruth Sova teaches, and then recaps, the Breathing and Upper Body Movements, Trunk Stability Movements and techniques, and Lower Body Movements. She finishes the teaching portion of the video with Coordinated Total Body movements, then reviews the entire Ai Chi program. Yoshiko Uno and Miki Aoki, Ai Chi instructors from Japan, are featured in the video with Ai Chi demonstrations.

  • Anchored Down Aqua (Low Impact) - This is a non-rebounding, low impact water workout. The hopping, jumping and running movements, so prevalent in most aqua aerobic classes, are replaced by muscle specific, precise movements through a full range of motion. Anchored Down variations can also provide an intense workout by progressively adding more force and power to each move. A superb workout for all levels of fitness, great for pre or postnatal women, older adults, persons recovering from injuries and persons with knee or hip problems.

  • Aqua Exercise for Multiple Sclerosis - The fifteen-minute video features exercises to do in the water that will help build strength and endurance, and reduce spasticity. Many physical therapists recommend exercise in a cool swimming pool because the water's coolness and buoyancy make movement easier. The video is especially designed for people who want to continue an exercise program after they've undergone physical therapy, or maintain a regular exercise program. Included with the video is a two-sided, illustrated 8 x 11-inch laminated chart that can be taken into the water for easy reference.
