Videography Team: How to Make an Inclusive Video More Impactful

There are many ways to make a video more impactful and success by including people with a disability.  Part of the process involves finding a good "Through Line," B-roll, grants, and film festivals.  This article describes strategies that NCHPAD uses to create impactful films and will also educate you on how yours can become successful too.

Educators: Sports Series: Goalball

Goalball is a competitive game for people who are blind or visually impaired.  Goalball provides a unique opportunity to individuals to engage in physical activity and improve fitness components and sport related skills.  Goalball can also improve other healthy life skills such as friendship, team-building, respect, perseverance, and courage while having fun. In this video, Dr. Laskowski, Co-Director of Sports Medicine at Mayo Clinic Rochester, talks about the childhood obesity epidemic and the importance of incorporating exercise in conversations with adolescents and their parent or caregiver. He also emphasizes how essential it is for physicians to prescribe physical activity to their patients, so their patients can lead a more active lifestyle.
