School is back in session and everyone should be settled back into their routines by now. Unfortunately, it’s just in time to have those routines interrupted by the start of basketball season. Wheelchair basketball seems to be one of the most popular sports among young athletes with a disability. If you aren’t familiar with the sport, can check out the National Wheelchair Basketball Association’s (NWBA) website. You can use the site to locate teams in your area, or simply to learn more about the sport in general. Whether it’s your child’s first year playing or their tenth, there are some exercises that they should be doing now to get ready for that first day of practice.
