NCHPAD - Building Healthy Inclusive Communities

Blogs and Wikis such as Tumblr, Wikipedia, Wordpress, and Other User-Generated Resource Sites

Blogs are tools that provide users with a platform to voice their thoughts and opinions in general or on specific issues. They allow every individual the opportunity to have a public forum and, transitively, to be heard. Blogs may feature comment sections, allowing other users to express their opinions on the issues at hand, or additional thoughts and issues sparked by the initial blog post.

Inclusion Guidelines
  • Include posts on disability-related issues, as well as that feature people with disabilities.
  • If multiple bloggers are used, advertise to and include bloggers with disabilities and/or experience relating to some aspect(s) of the disability community.
