From the Editor's Desk: The Gift of Health for Yourself and Others

We at NCHPAD encourage you to give the gift of health to yourself and others this holiday season. Our director’s column and nutritional spotlight include practical ideas for healthy holiday gift-giving, our Secondary Conditions Prevention column includes suggestions and resources on taking charge of your health, and a NCHPAD new document features family-oriented sports and home activities.

Other columns include suggestions on health promotion for persons with diabetes; a research abstract on how exercise adherence can be improved for those who have diabetes and depression; and a Community Voice article on therapeutic riding.

Please send your questions and comments to Jennifer Gray-Stanley, NCHPAD News Editor, at jegray@uic.edu
