  1. Tenure-Track Faculty Position, Health Promotion for Persons with Disabilities, University of Illinois at Chicago

    Individuals should be highly motivated and have a demonstrated track record in research. Candidates should have post-doctoral experience and senior applicants should also have a history of academic accomplishments and extramural funding.

  4. Rehab Engineer/Exercise Technology Specialist

    The successful candidate would be responsible for all rehabilitation engineering aspects of the Center. This includes the design of new equipment and the retrofitting of existing equipment utilized for recreation and fitness for people with disabilities; collaboration with existing partners and project staff; publishing articles related to the research conducted within the Center; participation in the development and instruction of a graduate level recreation technology course; and networking within the professional community and private industry.

    The candidate must have a minimum of a Master's degree with a Ph.D. or ABD (All But Dissertation) preferred in the appropriate engineering or rehabilitation field.

  26. Director, Steadward Centre

    This is a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with a suggested start date of July 1, 2005, and an administrative appointment with support to enable the Director to maintain an active research program and to teach undergraduate and graduate students. The successful candidates will possess a completed doctorate, have strong evidence of effective teaching, and a proven track record of scholarly research and publication. The faculty is interested in attracting individuals who are considered to be emerging leaders in disability (particularly physical disability), physical activity, and sport.

  27. The National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) and the Georgetown University Department of Rehabilitation Medicine Senior Research Associate

    Qualifications include a doctoral degree in one of the following fields: epidemiology, health services research, health economics, research psychology, research sociology or disability studies, with five years of experience in a research environment is preferred.
