This course teaches participants the basic skills to sail from and return to the dock safely. Sailing fundamentals include: boat dynamics and handling; tacking and jibing; sail trimming; reading the weather and the environment; and basic safe boating skills. Classes consist of both on-land and on the water instruction. Classes are available on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and a new class starts each month.
