Notes

Participants in this program will be introduced to adaptive paddling and safety skills in a controlled flat water environment. The experience, knowledge, and training of the TAASC volunteers and instructors in addition to the variety of TAASC kayaks allows individuals of all ability levels to experience kayaking in a fun, safe, and successful environment. In addition to this flat water program, TAASC coordinates local trips on both flat and moving water around the region for experienced paddlers and individuals that have completed the basic flat water sessions.

All participants must be able to get out from under the kayak independently and be able to right themselves and remain face up in the water with the aid of a lifejacket.
