• NWSRA strives for each participant to function at his/her highest level of ability. Benefits of participation include increased socialization and community awareness, development of new leisure skills, increased physical and emotional well being, and increased self esteem, all in a fun, safe and structured recreation environment.

  16 park districts that are served through the NWSRA include: Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Mt. Prospect, Palatine, Prospect Heights, River Trails, Rolling Meadows, Salt Creek, Schaumburg, Streamwood and Wheeling.

NWSRA offers a variety of recreation programs throughout the year including bowling, swimming lessons, crafts, cooking, team sports, piano lessons, Special Olympics training, horseback riding, social clubs and summer day camps.
