The National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) Program Coordinator

The National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) of the Office of Special Education Services (OSERS) within the U.S. Department of Education is recruiting a Program Coordinator for its RERC program. The Program Coordinator is responsible for a full range of professional duties that are required to enable NIDRR to establish priorities, administer, and manage NDIRR research in rehabilitation engineering and technology.

Teachers College, Columbia University, Department of Biobehavioral Sciences, Applied Exercise Physiologist

The candidate will be required to teach graduate courses (e.g., exercise testing and prescription, physical activity assessment, physical activity and health, physical activity in children and youth); supervise graduate student research; and conduct a focused research program.

Qualifications include an earned doctorate in exercise physiology or related field to present evidence of successful teaching experience and research accomplishments. Preference will be given to candidates with ACSM certification and postdoctoral research or teaching experience.

The Department of Kinesiology at Michigan State University is seeking a behavioral scientist with expertise in the area of physical activity, broadly defined to include exercise, physical activity, and sport, with a special emphasis on youth for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor position. Candidates must have an earned doctoral degree in kinesiology or a related field, and provide evidence of scholarly expertise in physical activity behavior, and a record of obtaining federally funded grants for the associate professor level.
