From the Editor's Desk: Exercise Resources for Teens with Spina Bifida

This month NCHPAD highlights a new hip hop exercise video for teens with spina bifida, produced with primary funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and additional funding from the Spina Bifida Association (SBA). Other monthly features include nutritional suggestions during breast cancer treatment for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and exercise as a way to decrease pain experienced with fibromyalgia.

Our Director's and FITT columns also provide some viewpoints on how fitness centers can reach out to persons with disabilities.

Please send your questions and comments to Jennifer Gray-Stanley, NCHPAD News Editor, at jegray@uic.edu.
