Types of Training
There are several types of trianing from which people with multiple sclerosis can benefit, including:
- Cardiovascular: increase stamina, decrease chance of secondary conditions associated with a sedentary lifestyle, and help improve activities of daily living
- Strength: improve function and help prevent contractures, muscle imbalance, and atrophy
- Flexibility: increase range of motion and maintain joint flexibility
Additionally, coordination and balance exercises can help improve practicial functionality and overall quality of life.
