Seated Volleyball |
Sitting volleyball teams exist and continue to be formed in cities throughout the U.S. The teams made up of athletes with disabilities, athletes without disabilities, or a mixture of each. Teams can be made up of males and females or can be co-ed. Adult teams, junior clubs, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, universities, cities, regions, military bases, etc., can establish teams. Tournaments are hosted by the various sitting teams in the cities they represent. These tournaments are a wonderful way for both non-disabled and disabled athletes to enjoy the game of volleyball. Sitting volleyball is a fast-paced game with a significant amount of net play. The Sitting Club season runs from January to June 1, concluding with the National Sitting Tournament held at the U.S. Open Nationals. USA Volleyball provides assistance in organizing teams in your area in addition to providing training tips for teams. Contact John Kessel, head coach of USA Men's Sit Volleyball at
