About My name is Bob. Was diagnosed with MS in 2015.In '15 and '16 was able to function meaning walk the garbage to the curb. And go to the grocery store alone. Simple tasks. Then in '17 suffered a fall. In '18 suffered a fall which lead to Rt knee and Rt elbow getting bloody. And being helped up. Early this year saw a Physical Therapist. After the 2nd visit with this person. I suffered my worst fall to date. Walking or hobbling into the kitchen...my left ankle rolled. This caused me to lose my balance. I went into a chair face first. The momentum going forward also pushed the table and 4 chairs total. With my face. The next visit to PT...honestly I didn't feel like doing anything. And now when the feeling of falling is overwhelming. I crawl. I live on 2 floors of my townhouse. It feels like prison. Completely tired of living this way. And would like to get back to living. Instead of surviving.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
