About My name is Mark and I enjoy a wide range activities, but that list has been shortened by secondary progressive MS. My biggest issues are muscle weakness and fatigue. Since I'm in a wheelchair I get very little activity and I'm going to change that. Exercise and diet are important for everyone, but especially for me since I neglect both. Numerous studies have shown these factors have a major bearing on the speed and severity of the progression of my condition. I have no idea if the degree of my disability is because of the MS, or because I'm in the worst physical shape of my life. However, while I can't change the MS, I can change my lifestyle, and I need believe that's going to make a huge difference. I refuse to lose hope, and I'd like to hear from others who feel the same.

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
