About My name is SueAnn; I use water aerobics and walking my toy poodle as my primary exercise weekly. I have arthritis, most noticeably in my feet, hips and knees, and wrists and hands. I am not totally faithful to exercising regularly as I sometimes oversleep and miss the 9:00 am water classes. I look forward to learning new exercises and having an accountability program to keep me motivated. I am concerned about my BMI which is currently about 28.8. I live in Prairie Village; sing in my congregational choir, teach for Western Kentucky University online, travel to Israel once a year as my children and grandchildren live there. My other chronic diseases include, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism, high cholesterol, a concerning calcium score and am in a study with Dr. O'Keefe at Saint Luke's Hospital as a result; and mood swings. I hope to connect with people who have similar interests to me! Thank you for creating the 14 week program!

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!

What is the program?

  • Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
  • Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
  • Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
  • Duration: 14 weeks

How does it work?

  • You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
  • We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
  • Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
