Planning for Success


I have found that when I am organized and ready for my day, I am more likely to plan my meals and snacks ahead of time. We all know what happens when we forget to pack ourselves a lunch for work; we end up eating whatever we can get our hands on quickly, which is usually something greasy and unhealthy. Just by packing snacks and meals before heading to work you can cut your calories drastically. Not convinced? Well, I bet you would make a sandwich before cooking up a hamburger to take to work.

Planning ahead can also come in handy if your weeks are so busy you have trouble fixing dinner for yourself or your family. My suggestion is to sit down Sunday night (or whenever you have a few minutes to think) and write down a list of what’s for dinner each night for the next week. Then break that list down into what groceries you need to buy. This way you won’t have to stress about what’s for dinner and you will be less likely to visit the drive thru.
