  • Start with both feet placed flat against the center of the platform and toes pointing up.
  • Legs are shoulder-width apart and knees are bent at a 90-degree angle.
  • In some cases, achieving a 90-degree angle may not be possible. In these situations, an angle as close as possible to 90 degrees should be attained, but the user should note that any other angle than 90 degrees will affect the amount of weight that can be lifted.
  • The back is placed firmly against the back seat pad and hands can use the handlebars located on both sides of the machine or arms can be folded across on the lap.
  • Hands should not rest on the legs because this aids in the push-off of the movement.
