Notes

Camp Independence is a four week summer camp program for children with diabetes. The camp is situated on the lush Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds located in Staten Island's greenbelt.

Children experience a full day of recreational activities including daily swimming, sports, arts and crafts, music, boating, karate, cheerleading, pioneering, special event days and more. The program also includes weekly trips to places like Kearns Amusement Park and Fun Time America.

Besides the wonderful activities at the camp, your children will receive special training and information regarding diabetes. The campers will have a chance to share their diabetes concerns with staff, along with their fellow campers. Individual attention is a must at Camp Independence
