Notes

Acorn Camp for Ages 9-23
Campers with physical disabilities will enjoy a full schedule including games, crafts, swimming, campfire gatherings, worship experiences, music programs, and a talent show that is geared toward the age levels and abilities of youth and young adults with disabilities. Our aim is to pair each camper with a same-gender buddy to give assistance, offer companionship, and experience camp life together. A questionnaire will be sent to applicants and must be returned prior to acceptance. Widewater Retreat Center, in Liberty Center, OH, is approximately 30 minutes south of the Michigan border. This camp is offered as a joint event with West Ohio Conference.

Acorn Buddies for Ages 16-College
For the spiritually and emotionally mature young adult. You will befriend and give assistance to at least one camper with a disability throughout the week. Please come prepared to serve; buddies will help campers to have an enjoyable time, make new friends, have new experiences, care for themselves, and grow in faith. It can be challenging, energizing, exhausting, hilarious and wonderful in nearly every way. An orientation/planning session is conducted the day before campers arrive. Space for buddies is limited and dependent on how many campers sign up.

Summer Fun for Ages 18 & Older
This event is for adults with developmental disabilities who are capable of meeting their own basic self-care needs. Are you looking for a great week of fun at camp? Why not spend time here with us making new friends and taking part in lots of exciting camp activities. A variety of camp experiences will be offered at a developmental level appropriate for the campers. A questionnaire to assess needs and abilities/skill levels will be sent to applicants and must be returned before being accepted into this program.

Gods Treasures for Ages 18 & Older
Gods Treasures is a camp experience designed especially for adults with disabilities. Campers will experience a variety of activities including crafts, recreation, swimming, music, Bible stories, campfires and interaction with campers and staff. The talent show is a camp highlight and our closing program is open to family and friends. Campers will stay in Littleton and Ragland Lodges and will be assigned counselors according to basic care needs. A questionnaire will be sent to applicants and must be returned prior to acceptance. Each session is an identical program; campers are permitted to sign up for one session to ensure availability to all.
