Camp Civitan is a four-day camp in June for persons with mild to moderate mental impairments ages 13 to 50+. Since 1990, Michigan Area Civitan Clubs have sponsored this long weekend, allowing campers to take the time to enjoy the atmosphere while exploring the great Michigan outdoors.
Activities planned for the campers include nature hikes, swimming, fishing, boating, outdoor games, crafts, campfire sing-a-long, and a Saturday night dance. A good time is had by all.
Camp Civitan is held at the facilities of Camp Rosenthal located at 3347 Clawson Road, Dowagiac, Michigan during the month of June. Campers stay in cabins and sleep in beds. The Rosenthal staff prepares delicious meals, and Civitans provide on-site nurses 24 hours a day.
