Mountain Family Camp is for children with developmental delays/functional limitations primarily in association with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes or congenital anomalies. Synergy, focus and time to work on skills over five consecutive treatment days make this a unique and powerful intervention. Children often achieve significant developmental, functional and behavioral gains that can be sustained and further developed.Mountain Therapy Camp is ideal for kids who can benefit from multiple treatment modalitites to achieve significant developmental gains and to learn new skills, parents who want to devote quality time in a relaxed setting to their other children and for siblings who would enjoy knowing other siblings and parents who want respite and a family vacation in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Program highlights include full-day program for five consecutive days (Six hours of one-on-one therapy daily). Each day some combination of OT, PT, speech, behavior, music or art therapy based on individualized plan and transdisciplinary goal-centered treatment. Professional teams includes 5 pediatric therapists and 2 volunteers who work exclusively with 5 children throughout the week. The camp also offers optional support, education for parents and sibs, lots of self guided respite and family recreation. Families stay together at night in their own family cabin.
