Notes

Individuals (6-22, who have not graduated high school) with spina bifida, spinal chord injury, cerebral palsy, or injury effecting the lower extremities of the body. All athletes compete in wheelchairs, however not all athletes use wheelchairs outside of sports. The program is open to Fairfax County and non-county residents. An additional fee will be charged to non-county residents.

The purpose of the Fairfax falcon's wheelchair sports program is to provide adolescents (ages 6-22) instruction in the following:
  • A Variety of Sports
  • Teamwork and Socialization
  • Home fitness
From this instruction, participants will be able to independently participate in team orientated meets and tournaments as well as individualized home fitness programs. These experiences will help to enhance the participants' recreational life with an emphasis on sports & fitness.
