Notes

At Camp I-Am-Special children with Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, Spina bifida, autism, epilepsy, multi-sensory disorders and other challenges enjoy a fun-filled week of camping during the summer months.

Campers enjoy...

  • A week of boating, fishing, swimming, music, arts and crafts, magic shows, pony rides and many other special activities.
  • A 24-hour one-on-one buddy. The "buddy team" is comprised of trained high-school and college volunteers who put aside their typical teenage lives during their own summer vacations to assume caregiver roles.
  • A staff of volunteers who stay throughout each week of camp includes a director, nurse, lifeguards, activities coordinator and kitchen directors.
  • Cabin living. All campers and their buddies enjoy a true camping atmosphere.
