Adapted recreation programs are specifically designed for individuals with special needs. Lake Metroparks encourages people with special needs to mainstream into any of our program offerings.
Phonic Ear Assisted Listening Device
Phonic Ear assisted listening devices, which provide necessary amplification to improve speech clarity, are available for hearing-impaired individuals. This system dramatically boosts the quality of any listening environment. Systems are available at Penitentiary Glen, Lake Farmpark and Children's Schoolhouse Nature Park.
