Notes

Camelot is a bridge leading to a life of freedom and self-fulfillment for children and adults with physical disabilities. It is a philosophy that views every human being as a potential masterpiece and rests on the belief that love and courage can slay the mightiest of dragons.

Founded in 1980, this non-profit program uses horsemanship as a means of therapy to improve strength, balance, coordination and self-esteem.

Students learn to become stronger than the obstacles in their paths. This is achieved because the program is personalized, based on each student's unique abilities and needs. The student receives one-on-one instruction, and learns all aspects of horsemanship: riding, grooming, training, showing, breeding, vet care and stable management.

Students who have completed our program have gone on to higher education and leadership positions in the community. Many times, graduates continue their involvement with Camelot by volunteering or teaching themselves.
