The Creative Living program was established in 1997 in response to parent requests that there be alternative day placements to the traditional sheltered workshop model. The mission of the program is to equip men and women with autism with the needed skills to achieve success in the community. Participants in the Creative Living program attend the program five days a week. Daily activities include music therapy, art therapy, recreation therapy, prevocational training, supported employment and community involvement. At its inception, the program served 5 adults with autism. It currently serves 11 adults with autism.
