The Vanderbilt YMCA offers a comprehensive health and fitness program as well as a schedule of social events for Active Older Adults 55 years of age and over. Please check with our membership desk to obtain a schedule of upcoming social events.

FOREVER YOUNG

This class provides a complete workout that encourages you to go at your own pace. The workout combines low impact aerobics, body conditioning and flexibility exercises.

FY/BODY CONDITIONING

A 30 minute comprehensive weight training class geared towards the Active Older Adult.

STRETCH

A relaxing class which helps improve flexibility and can help reduce stress. A perfect way to end your workout and start the day!

STRENGTH TRAINING

This unique strength training program is specifically geared toward the Active Older Adult. This class utilizes Cybex/Icarian strength and endurance equipment. A certified instructor provides assistance and helps with individual needs. Strength training can greatly improve one’s quality of life at any age.

STAY-FIT

Enjoy an invigorating walk or run accompanied by live or recorded music in the camaraderie of a group. End your workout with some stretch and abdominal floor exercises.
