It is good for children to get an education in the outdoors, experience environmental awareness, have an away-from-home learning experience. Kamp also means lots of fun. New York District Kiwanians believe that ALL children should have an opportunity to experience camp life.

Likewise, there are adults and individuals with disabilities who will benefit beyond words by spending happy days at Kamp Kiwanis. New York District Kiwanians believe that Kamp Kiwanis can and will continue to meet the needs of these persons as well.

Year after year, New York District Kiwanians dedicate their time, energies, and funding to insure that this motto lives on with all of its visitors to Kamp Kiwanis. New York District Kiwanians believe that serving our youth, adults and those with disabilities is one of our primary focuses.

Kamp Kiwanis is located about 9 miles from Rome, NY, in the Town of Taberg, on Kiwanis Road. It has 57 acres of woodlands with a pond for fishing and boating and an in-ground swimming pool.

The coed camp accepts children ages 8 through 14; younger and older ages are considered with special approval. The camp has a capacity of 120 campers with 20 special needs campers per week. The staff/camper ratio is one to eight. Lower ratios are provided when needed. The camp is basically accessible. Camping segments begin each Sunday at 3 p.m. and end on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Youth Camp
Kamp Kiwanis is a coed camp that accepts children aged 8 to 14, and has a Counselor-In-Training program for those 15-17. The Kamp has the capacity of 130 Kampers.
