Notes

The City of Edina believes that each person has the right to participate in the activities of his or her choice. For residents with disabilities, the City offers many adaptive recreation programs. In addition, the City offers support in general recreation programs through Inclusion, the process of providing help for individuals with disabilities to participate in general park and recreation programs.

Adaptive recreation programs are designed to meet the needs of people of all levels of ability. Edina residents are also able to access the Adaptive Recreation programs in the cities of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, and Richfield, through a cooperative called the Adaptive Recreation & Learning Exchange (AR&LE).

The Adaptive Recreation & Learning Exchange (AR&LE)

The Cities and school districts of Edina, Eden Prairie, Bloomington and Richfield work together to provide recreation and education for people with disabilities. This cooperative is known as the Adaptive Recreation & Learning Exchange (AR&LE).
