Senior Olympics is open to men and women ages 50 and over. Regional competitions are held yearly at eight sites around Ohio. State games are also held yearly, and are a sanctioned site to qualify athletes for The National Senior Games: The Senior Olympics. There are over 5,000 athletes competing in Senior Olympics in Ohio and that number grows every year. The events offered are badminton, basketball, freethrows, spot shot, billiards, bowling, cycling, field, track, race walk, golf (9 and 18 holes), golf chipping, horseshoes, racquetball, race walk, road race, rowing, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, marathon.
