PACE- recreational land exercise program specifically designed for individuals with arthritis and those with physical limitations who cannot perform more strenuous exercises. Basic and advanced levels may be offered. Some exercises are done while sitting and some while standing. JOINT EFFORTS-very low level recreational land exercise program primarily designed for sedentary people. All exercises performed while sitting. Classes include exercises that aid flexibility, range of motion, and muscle strength. DOES NOT REPLACE PHYSICAL THERAPY. Some sites may require membership fees in addition to fees for classes, and some may offer scholarships.
