Southwest Georgia Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. is located at Hunny Pot Stables in Leesburg, Ga. Situated on 25 acres, this dream of Stan and Tara Okon boasts a covered area, multiple hay and wagon storage facilities and a 32 stall barn. We are conveniently located just 5.8 miles past the entrance to The Parks at Chehaw on Philema Road.
Established in 1999 for the purpose of continuing the therapeutic riding program in the area we believed that experiencing therapy through the use of riding horses in a safe, compassionate, and challenging environment can significantly develop and improve the lives of individuals who have physical, emotional and/or developmental disabilities.
Our goal is to bring horse, rider and the community together to share in an extraordinary experience which this type of therapy can make happen - be it just having a child smile and feeling the freedom from his/her assisting device.
