Notes

Founded in 1991, CRAB is an all-volunteer non-profit sailing program, dedicated to providing sailing opportunities to persons with disabilities and their families.

CRAB has no paid staff. Its income is derived from boar donations and rental of its specially designed Freed Independence 20-foot sloops, memberships, corporate and individual gifts. CRAB is a chapter of the Disabled Sports USA through which it gains its 501 (c)3 tax-deductible status.

CRAB strives to make sailing accessible to all people, regardless of their financial situation, and sets up special arrangements for individuals and groups with limited means.

"Sail Free" days are the fourth Sunday of every month during season (April through October).
