Notes

The Adapted Sports Program was restructured in 2004 from a program previously known as GOLFF (Go On Living For Fun) for our disabled and/or senior wellness. The Adapted Sports Program maintains the same philosophy, which introduces individuals to a variety of activities that they can benefit from both therapeutically and recreationally. Our goal is to increase wellness and decrease the risk of injuries and accidents.

Adapted Sports is staffed with occupational, physical and recreational therapists as well as local teaching professionals both on and off campus.

The HRH Sports Complex, located on Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital’s campus, is the home of the Adapted Sports Program. The complex includes an all-accessible golf training area for chipping and putting, five full-swing golf stations, a bocce court, a nine-hole miniature golf course, a pavilion, an archery range and an accessible multipurpose activity court fro basektball, volleyball and tennis. Each activity is offered one to two times weekly with trained professionals. The complex has accommodated schools in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties with field trips.
