The Bristol Hospital Wellness Center is a partnership between Bristol Hospital and Healthtrax Fitness. The Wellness Center features a blend of prevention and treatment services--all at one location. Our mission is to serve as the community resource for health improvement, combining traditional medical care with prevention, rehabilitation, fitness, education and wellness services.
From yoga to cooking classes to prenatal exercise to children's fitness, the programs at the Wellness Center appeal to a diverse audience. Throughout the year, we offer more than 250 education classes, several special events and numerous health screenings, all designed to help the residents in the greater Bristol area improve their total health and well being.
An educational grant from Pfizer helps us keep our community members informed on the latest medical advancements through the always popular "Doctor Is In" program, which features dinner and discussion with a member of the Bristol Hospital medical staff.
To help our youth avoid the health risks of obesity, we offer "KIDS' QUEST: A Fitness and Nutrition Program" for children between the ages of 10 and 14. The program provides an integrated, group approach that includes physical activity, nutrition education, family interaction and a positive, supportive learning environment. The goal is to help children build a foundation for a healthful lifestyle that can be maintained long after the six-week program is over.
The Bristol Hospital Wellness Center is proud that our community turns to us as their resource for health improvement.
