Community Fitness at the Motion Center
A outpatient and inpatient resource for Coronado residents with sports-related and other injuries.

The Motion Center fitness area is open to the public for private workout sessions with a fitness trainer or low-cost memberships to use our state-of-the-art fitness equipment, including cardiovascular machines, treadmills, elliptical machines, lifecycles, recumbent bikes, rowers, Stairmasters, Cybex weight training equipment and free weights. In addition to fitness programs for people of all ages and fitness levels, staff members provide weight-training programs for seniors and for those who need weight training because they suffer from a serious illness. The classes are intended to give individuals enough information and support about exercise so that they can begin to exercise independently.

Special Motion Center programs:
  • Healing Touch - Adjunctive Holistic Therapy based approach to wellness that clear, align, and balance the human energy using touch. Call for an appointment.

  • Massage Therapy - Provided by a Licensed Massage Therapist to enhance health and wellness using muscle work to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress.

  • Pilates Class - Conducted by a Certified Pilates Instructor, Pilates is an exercise system focused on improving flexibility and strength by conducting a series of controlled movements engaging your body and mind.

  • Club 55 - Low impact group exercise program designed for strength training for members 55 years and older. Call for class schedule.

  • Back class - Focus on maintaining a healthy back. Provides tips and tricks on posture, lifting, and other back saving techniques. Call for class schedule.

  • Gentle fitness - A variety of stretching and strengthening exercises suited for clients requiring activities in the seated position.

  • Feldenkrais - Improves overall function through gentle movement and body awareness.

  • Flexercise - Class focus is to increase flexibility and range of motion.

  • Personal training - One-on-one training session with a Certified Fitness Instructors on a variety of programs such as flexibility training, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, coordination and balance training and many more.
