Located on the second floor of the ETMC Rehabilitation Center, The Olympic Center in Tyler offers indoor aquatics, a jogging/walking track, aerobics and strength training equipment.
As the network's flagship facility, The Olympic Center in Tyler offers a comprehensive array of services that rival and often exceed those of the most sophisticated health clubs in the nation's larger metropolitan areas.
The facility also boasts an array of exercise bicycles, including a virtual reality recumbent model that allows members to ride the trails of a tropical island, tour the New England countryside in the fall, hit the slopes of a ski resort, play a game of soccer in ancient Mexico, or blow up tanks in an aerobic game of hunt-and-kill.
The pool area includes a mini-Olympic swimming/lap pool, a therapy pool and a whirlpool.
Perhaps the most important and distinctive aspect of The Olympic Center is the expertise in wellness and fitness offered by the facility's staff. These individuals are trained exercise physiology, exercise techniques, personal training, aerobic instruction and more.
The Olympic Center is accessible, with covered parking available. To promote a serious and adult-oriented environment, all Olympic Center members must be at least 18 years old and must receive a health assessment from a member of the center's fitness staff.
