Notes

They are an inclusive camp for girls with and without disabilites. Camp O'Fair Winds is located near Lapeer, Michigan and provides facilities for a variety of exciting activities. Girls can swim, canoe, row, work on arts & crafts, play sports, shoot archery, challenge themselves on our ropes & initiatives courses, and more. All of our programs are designed to encourage risk-taking in a safe and supportive environment. Girls develop self-confidence and group communication skills as they plan their own activities and set goals for themselves. These are all skills that will help girls succeed in the future.

Camp O'Fair Winds provides a rustic environment to facilitate and appreciation of the outdoors. To further enhance this appreciation and to teach teamwork and self-reliance, every group of campers, 4th grade and older, will plan and carry out a primitive overnight camping trip. (2nd and 3rd graders in 1-week programs will be given the option to try this activity.) Girls will plan their meals, cook outdoors, and sleep in waterproof timberline tents. Overnights take place on the camp property and girls are accompanied by first-aid trained counselors
