The purpose of Goalball is for each team to roll the ball across the opponent�s goal line while the other team attempts to prevent this from happening. The game played by two teams of three players on a court 18m x 9m which is divided into two halves by a center line. The goals extend right across each end of the court. A rubber ball with bells inside for auditory tracking is used. Each player must wear a blindfold regardless of the degree of visual impairment.
