Yoga in Chairs is designed for people of all physical abilities to enjoy the benefits of yoga. Participants will learn the basic techniques of yoga including proper breathing, alignment, and poses for strength, flexibility, and relaxation. Traditional yoga poses will be modified so participants can experience them while standing, sitting in a chair or on the floor. Some benefits of yoga include: increased cognition, increased body awareness and coordination, improved balance, increased flexibility and strength, diminished fatigue, improved circulation and breathing, enhanced alertness, stress-reduction, and an overall feeling of well-being. Mats and chairs will be provided.
