Camp Firefly is a week long, overnight summer camp experience for boys and girls, ages 9-12 who have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, Non-Verbal Learning Disorder, Learning Disabilities, ADD, ADHD, High Functioning Autism, or related disorders that have a significant impact on social skill development.
The Camp provides a unique camp experience designed to foster friendships and positive social interactions among campers in a supportive, safe, and structured atmosphere.
Camp Firefly is held at Camp Henry Horner, which is located on Wooster Lake in Ingleside, Illinois. Our natural setting on 180 acres offers rolling meadows, woodlands, a meandering creek and miles of trails running through our property. Other areas include: campfire circles, large sports fields, tennis center, skate park, basketball courts, a large recreation hall, and an arts & crafts center.
Camp Firefly offers a range of recreational activities for your child to enjoy including: tennis, archery, softball, volleyball, gymnastics, biking, arts and crafts, outdoor living, skills, ropes courses, instructional & free swim, fishing, canoeing, pontoon boat rides, scavenger hunts, and cookouts. special outings including bowling & miniature golf.
